The Periodic Table Made Easy With Atomicize!

ATOMICIZE IS A BOARD GAME PLAYED WITH TWO DICE AND 24 ELEMENT PIECES. THROUGH PLAY, STUDENTS LEARN TO MEMORIZE THE ELEMENTS, PLACE THEM ACCORDING TO THEIR SIZE, AND THEY BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF IONIC BONDS, OCTET RULE AND ACTIVITY SERIES. THIS IS A MULTI-LEVEL, MULTI-AGE GAME FROM THE 5TH GRADE THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL. ATOMICIZE IS UNIQUE BECAUSE BY PLAYING IT, STUDENTS WILL IMPROVE THEIR CHEMISTRY GRADES. THIS GAME IS BASED ON THE ACTUAL SCHOOL CURRICULUM IN THE CALIFORNIA STATE STANDARD. MAXIMUM OF FOUR PLAYERS.

Get all your element pieces home first--but it is not easy. You may get kicked back to start if you are in another's territory. If you are the noble gases, watch out! The other elements are not happy with you and they unite forces and form an ionic compound to overthrow the noble gas. Noble gases have the advantage of doubling its throw and avoid being stomped by ionic compounds. But wait! Remember that not all elements are of equal strength. Group I elements are more reactive than group II. So Group I will replace group II in a compound. Elements in ionic compounds get to go straight home after it has stomped a noble gas. Oops! Did you know that smaller halogens are more reactive (stronger) than larger ones. Yes! Smaller halogens will replace the larger ones in a compound. So you as you move across the board, your compound could change.

A Game that will keep you engaged for hours!
